Research Description – Publications
I am a theoretical physicist working since Fall 2012 on the functional architecture of the primary visual system in higher mammals. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Collège de France and at ENS.
My current work deals with the theoretical and computational study of the visual system. In particular I am interested in studying the properties and the interactions between its different fuctional maps and their relation with the development of the visual system itself.
In the past, I obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics at Università di Milano-Bicocca on the renormalization properties of supersymmetric quantum field theories on a deformed geometry and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Beyond the Standard Model physics at LPT – Université de Paris-Sud and at DFT/IFT – Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.
